Join us for a participatory performance by Jingwei Bu this Friday from 3 to 7pm. The Moving Stone is a large stone Bu collected from Hallett Cove. It has been her performance partner and prop for three works: Bloody Ink Play (2022), Moving Stone Moving Image (2022), and Moving Stone (2021). The stone stands in for the literal and symbolic weight of experiences Bu carries with her: traumatic life threatening childbirth, relationship with parents, etc. You are invited to move the stone with Bu, carry the labour, pass on the grief, share the weight. Everybody is welcome and invited to participate anyway they feel comfortable and able.
