Residence on Earth by South Australian artist Aldo Iacobelli will be on display in our window during the Christmas and New Year period.
The electric clock might remind people of the large pace clocks at swimming pools. The two hands move synchronously, rotating once per minute. Unlike a conventional clock, Residence on Earth does not tell the time but shows its passing. Printed on the clock face is the number of seconds in the average man’s life.
The clock quietly and gracefully shows the continuous passing away of our time here on Earth.
